Melinda strives to create simple pieces, highlighting the beauty of natural gemstones and combining simple details of woven mixed metals and organic silken threads. Her jewelry draws upon her architectural and musical backgrounds, with flowing lines and structural textures that lie differently on each wearer. Working with jewelry recaptures for her the magic of playing in her Grandmother’s jewelry boxes as a little girl, and excites her with the hope of recreating some of that magic in pieces that might be handed down to future generations
